Marco Carlini, architect:

I graduated at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence University in 1989 with a first class degree with honours. I started my own architectural practice in 1993, orientated towards restoration and the re-use of old buildings, mainly in the Umbrian countryside, but also in Tuscany, Lazio and throughout Central Italy.

After two intensive and stimulating years of work experience in London, including at the offices of the worldwide famous architect Lord Richard Rogers, in very different fields from those I currently tackle, I decided to return to my hometown in Umbria to live and work, in spite of my unceasing attraction for London and England in general.

I live in Umbertide with my English wife Alice and my two young children, Livia and Joseph.
